Gift Aid

Donations and sponsorship payments are eligible for Gift Aid providing donors are paying at least the amount of UK income tax reclaimed on their donations.  In the 2010/2011 tax year this makes a £100 donation worth £125 to the Anglo-Thai Foundation, and the Government contributes another £3. Our understanding is that, if you pay tax at the 40% or new 50% rate, you will be able personally to reclaim a further £41.66 or £75 through your tax return.

Urgent appeals for funds to help schools and children

In May 2009 we visited Ban Khlongpetsawai in a remote part of Khukhan.  This is a very small primary school with only 89 children and accordingly gets little government funding.

The buildings have suffered from the wind and rain.  A roof which blew off has been replaced, but flood damage and damage to walls remain.  Several classrooms have dirt floors.

Despite this, the school has a distinguished sports record, and one boy is competing at the National Stadium in Bangkok in the under-twelves national handball team.  The school has also won a national award for its environmental awareness.  The first priority is to improve the classrooms.  Can you help us raise £2,000 to help this lively little school?

We need, we wait, we hope...
