Our main recent projects have been the introduction of hardship and disability grants for families affected by illness (often AIDS) or accidents. These grants may be short term and modest, or long term, sometimes involving considerable financial assistance. The children in these families are often also awarded education grants.
When funds allow, the Foundation makes grants to novices and monks from the very poorest families to enable them to study.
We contributed towards presenting the 43-volume Pali Canon in English translation to the monks and novices of Mahachulalongkorn University, Surin.
The Anglo-Thai Foundation in 2011
In 2011 the Anglo-Thai Foundation made education grants to 480 children and young people, from primary school to university level and paid to repair a classroom for a village school.
