The tsunami appeal.
In 2006 our donors generously contributed about £4,500 plus £1,000 worth of antibiotices, a surgical autoclave and two truckloads of clothing & bedding.
We presented the Thai Red Cross with £3,000 and the autoclave, the Thai Embassy in London with £1,000 and the medicine & clothing was shipped to Sri Lanka.
We have received a certificate of appreciation from HM Queen Sirikit in acknowledgement of our contribution to the Tsunami relief effort in Thailand.

The Autumn Lunch (30th November) at the Siam Food Gallery in Esher made a profit of £1,100 enough to keep 22 children in primary school for another year. Thanks to Ladawan for organising this highly successful event, thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
Up to now all of our Spring & Autumn lunches have been organised by Ladawan, and have been held in South London. We would like to increase our supporter base by holding these events in other parts of the country. If you run a Thai restaurant, or if you know somebody in your locality who does, and you would like to help our fundraising by running a similar event in your region, please email Ladawan or the Secretary (see below)
