Tsunami Orphans - 3-9 December 2009

The ATF was very happy to provide volunteer labour to help a sister charity which supports tsunami orphans in Isaan and elsewhere in Thailand.

Support a child at primary or secondary school

With regular sponsorship of £10 a month you can support a child from a poor family right through their school career. Choose whether you would prefer to support a boy or a girl, or let us choose for you. We will keep you informed about their progress, and forward (with a translation if need be) any letter they write to you.

These are some of the schoolchildren for whom we have yet to find sponsors.

ATF 667 Jintana, aged 13, likes football and wants to be a doctor.		ATF 798 Kraiwith, aged 13, wants to be a teacher.


ATF 699 Suparp, aged 13, wants to be a footballer.		ATF 501 Buddhitha, aged 11, is extremely clever.


Support a young person at college or university £35 a month will go a long way towards enabling a bright student from a deprived background to pay college or university fees. Support a young man or woman, or let us choose. Again, we will keep you informed about their progress, and forward (with a translation if need be) any letter they write to you.

ATF 141 Miss Thiranan Prajakjit whom we supported at Ban Nongrang, Sisaket from the age of 8 and is now in her first year at Ubon Ratchathani University.		ATF 579 Mr Satarpon Nakhun, whose parents are rice farmers is now in his first year at Ubon Ratchathani Technical College.
